Compared to other gear types, heirlooms offer greater flexibility in utilization and are very useful. Furthermore, they are readily available, and even when redeemed for WoW MoP Classic gold, the required gold is relatively low.
Below, IGGM’ll provide a detailed explanation of the function of heirlooms in Mists of Pandaria Classic and how to obtain the full set. If you need to obtain additional WoW MoP Classic gold or want to know other information about this game, enter IGGM can also get related services!
Heirlooms Overview
WoW MoP Classic heirlooms are account-bound gear that gain stats as your character level increases. After obtaining them through various methods, you can claim them from the “Heirloom Collection” tab and share them with other characters on the same account.
All heirloom gear pieces primarily increase your XP earned while wearing them in combat, with bonuses up to 50%, making them ideal for use during the early leveling of Phase 1.
If your class requires you to change armor type at level 40, heirloom armor will automatically switch when you need it, but this switch is irreversible and fixed.
Heirloom Changes In MoP Classic
In the original expansion, all heirloom pieces could be roughly categorized by wearability:
- Helm, shoulders, cloak, chest.
- One-hand / two-hand / ranged weapons.
- Trinkets, ring.
Building on this foundation, WoW MoP Classic adds leg, shield, off-hand, and a Battlemaster’s PvP trinket as new pieces, and incorporates the following mechanical changes:
- The maximum heirloom level has been increased from 80 to 85.
- Justice Points required to upgrade PvE heirlooms has been reduced.
- Honor point requirement for upgrading PvP heirlooms has been reduced.
- There are no longer any restrictions on enchantments for heirloom gear.
- The bonuses provided by enchantments above your character level are reduced.
How To Obtain Or Upgrade Heirlooms?
Before redeeming an heirloom through vendors, you must ensure you have qualified for all components. Components that provide benefits or require special unlocking requirements are as follows:
- Cloaks: Honored or better reputation with a guild – 5% XP bonus.
- Helms: Revered or better reputation with a guild – 10% experience bonus.
- Legs: Honored or better reputation with a guild, and completed the quest “Working Better as a Team” – 10% experience bonus.
- Shoulders: 10% experience bonus.
- Chest armor: 10% experience bonus.
- One special ring: Dread Pirate Ring – a reward for winning Kalu’ak Fishing Derby.
Which Consumables Can Be Exchanged For Heirlooms?
Of all heirloom components, only the cloak, helmet, and legs can be obtained by consuming Mists of Pandaria Classic gold at Guild Vendors. All other components require a corresponding number of Justice Points, Darkmoon Prize Tickets, Champion’s Seals, or Honor Points.
Justice Points
As the first MoP Classic PVE currency, Justice Points can be earned by defeating dungeon and raid bosses. The maximum limit for Justice Points is 4,000 points. All previous Valor Points in your account will be converted into Justice Points after the update.
Darkmoon Prize Tickets
Prize Tickets are consumables earned by winning games or performing favors at Darkmoon Faire. They can only be exchanged for items during Darkmoon Faire week.
Champion’s Seals
Champion’s Seals are earned only by winning Argent Tournament. Besides Heirloom components, you can then exchange them for more items at vendors within the tournament.
Honor Points
Earn Honor Points by killing members of the opposing faction in PvP combat. These can then be exchanged for Heirlooms and other special items.

How To Enchant Heirlooms?
Previously, heirlooms could only be enchanted with enchantments that had no level requirement, but in WoW MoP Classic, heirloom enchantments have no additional restrictions.
In addition, the power of enchantments increases based on your level, so you should enchant your heirlooms at higher levels if possible.
Since heirlooms generated through Heirloom Collection tab are not enchanted, if you wish to transfer enchanted heirlooms between characters, you must do so by mail.
What Is Heirloom Collection?
Obtained heirloom gear is added directly to your collection, and you can generate unlimited heirlooms by right-clicking an unlocked heirloom in Heirlooms tab of the Collection window.
That’s all for Heirlooms in MoP Classic WoW. I hope it helps you on your Phase 1 leveling journey!
